NEW YORK, NY - Major League Soccer announced Friday details for the 2020 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas. MLS clubs will be able to select players from the collegiate ranks. Nashville SC has the second overall pick in the draft.
The SuperDraft will take place on Thursday, January 9 at 11 am CT, and will be broadcast via a Twitter livestream jointly produced by MLS and ESPN. The livestream will include real time feeds from players and club officials, as well as fans. The draft will also be streamed in the ESPN App, YouTube and Facebook.
All 26 MLS clubs will have the option to select players in the SuperDraft, but also have the ability to trade some or all of their selections. The draft will include four rounds. Each club will have three minutes to select a player with no breaks between selections.
Nashville SC did not confirm event details, but did tell us that plans for a draft event are in process.
