Daniel Ríos has been named 2019 Speedway Soccer Attacker Of The Year. Ríos received 76.1% of the fan vote and 100% of the Speedway vote to claim the award.
The first ever MLS signing for Nashville, Ríos more than lived up to expectations in 2019. The first ever player in USL history with back-to-back 20 goal seasons, Ríos's finishing ability was a much needed improvement for Nashville. Lead the team with 21 goals (good for second in the Golden Boot race) and appearances, playing 2,648 minutes over 33 matches. Consistently one of the best players on the pitch, and showed plenty of potential to succeed at the next level.
Others receiving votes: Ropapa Mensah (16.2% fan vote), Lebo Moloto (3.2% fan vote), Alan Winn (2.8% fan vote), Cameron Lancaster (1.6% fan vote)
Speedway Soccer's 2019 Awards Week will continue with Most Valuable Player announced Thursday and Goal of the Year announced Friday. Fans can vote for those awards at SpeedwaySoccer.com/2019-Awards.
