More Positive Covid Tests For Nashville

By Ben Wright.

ORLANDO, FL - More trouble for Nashville SC. After two cancelled flights to Orlando and a positive Covid-19 test in-market, five more players have tested positive for the coronavirus. First reported by The Athletic's Sam Stejskal and Paul Tenorio, one player tested positive immediately on arrival, with four more testing positive in the next round of testing.

Nashville were scheduled to train on Saturday night after arriving in the Orlando "bubble", but due to the positive result in Nashville and subsequent positives in Orlando, the expansion side hasn't trained for five days. They're scheduled to play their first match of the competition on Wednesday.

FC Dallas's opening match of the tournament was postponed after they received eleven positive results. Their opening match will now take place on July 15, instead of July 9 as initially planned. So far, Dallas and Nashville are the only teams to receive multiple positive tests in the bubble.
