NASHVILLE, TN - Nashville Soccer Club announced Monday that FOX 17, MyTV30 and CW58 will serve as the club's official television partner whenever the 2020 season resumes play. Nashville SC's inaugural season has been on hold since March 13, when Major League Soccer suspended play due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“We are thrilled to carry on our strong partnership with Nashville SC and embrace the new Major League Soccer opportunities in the Nashville market for the coming years,” stated Vice President and GM of FOX 17, CW58 and MyTV30, Noreen Parker."

To celebrate the partnership, FOX 17 will re-air the broadcast of Nashville's debut match in MLS, a 2-1 loss to Atlanta United at 1PM central on Saturday, May 9.

“February 29 was a historic night for everyone connected to Nashville SC,” said Nashville SC CEO Ian Ayre. “Saturday’s encore of our inaugural match will be an amazing memory for all of us and a great celebration of our broadcast partnership. For many people, being immersed in the excitement of the event meant that you did not perhaps get to see or enjoy every part of the atmosphere we created. To have this chance to re-live those epic few hours with our local broadcast partners is a fantastic way to take it all in and hear from many of those involved about how it all came together.”

As part of the re-broadcast, Nashville SC will also present a second-screen viewing option, with lead commentator Tony Husband and color analyst Jamie Watson interviewing players and providing other behind-the-scenes content.

The club also confirmed that the local broadcasts on FOX 17, MyTV30 and CW58 will be available via Virtual multichannel Video Programming Distributors (vMVPDs) such as YouTube TV, Sling, Hulu Live, and others. This is good news for local streaming customers, as previous local broadcasts of Nashville SC's USL matches were not available through over the top streaming services.

Major League Soccer remains on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic, but continues to explore options to complete the 2020 season. The current moratorium on matches runs through June 8.
