ORLANDO, FL - Nashville SC finally made it to Florida. After two cancelled flights and a coronavirus scare, the team landed in Orlando just five days before their first match of the MLSisBack Tournament.

"It's great to finally be here, that is for sure," said head coach Gary Smith. "The last couple of days have been quite confusing for the group. I think the players have dealt with it extremely professionally, with two flights pretty much cancelled and some disruption from within the group. It was quite confusing in the end as to how we were going to get down here, but finally we are."

Teams were supposed to arrive in Orlando with at least seven days before their first match, but complications with receiving Covid-19 test results meant Nashville have a short turnaround time to adapt to their new settings and get on the practice field. They'll spend the next day in quarantine waiting for the results of a test administered upon arrival before being allowed to begin training.

"We're all hoping that we'll get the all-clear at some point during the day tomorrow," said Smith. "We're due to train at 9:30 tomorrow night as we start to acclimate towards the 10:30 game on Wednesday."

Nashville will take on Chicago Fire in their first match of the tournament, kicking off at 9:30 PM central on ESPN.
