Nashville SC Player Round Up

Nashville SC had a successful weekend as the moved in to first place with their win over Loudoun United. Let's take a look at how the MLS players fared throughout the week.

ANĺBAL GODOY (San Jose Earthquakes)

Godoy was an unused substitute in San Jose's 1-2 loss to Philadelphia Union on Wednesday and Sunday's 0-1 loss to Seattle Sounders.

DAVID ACCAM (Columbus Crew SC)

Accam was an unused substitute in Columbus' 2-0 win against Philadelphia Union

HANY MUKHTAR (Brøndby IF)

Mukhtar started and played 90 minutes in Brøndby's 2-1 loss away to SønderjyskE.


Hany started the game against SønderjyskE out wide but drifted in and spent most of the game in the playing his preferred position as a center attacking midfielder. It was a game full of shots with only a few on target with Brøndby only putting 3 of their 14 shots on frame. Hany was kept relatively quiet throughout the game with his best chance coming in the 43rd minute when SImon Hedlund played a cross in to the middle of the box for Mukhtar. Unfortunately, Hany was unable to get the shot on frame.

RANDALL LEAL (Deportivo Saprissa)

Leal started and played the full 90 in Saprissa's 0-1 win over over Independiente to advance to the semifinal of the CONCACAF League last night, beating a defender and putting in a nice cross to set up the match winning goal. He also started and played 90 in their 2-1 loss away to Guadalupe.

DANIEL RĺOS (Nashville SC)

Daniel Ríos started and played 76 minutes in Nashville's 0-2 win on the road to Loudoun United. After a relatively quiet outing against Pittsburgh, Ríos had a productive game, picking up the first goal. He recorded 7 shots, 3 of which were on target

CAMERON LANCASTER (Nashville SC)

Lancaster was an unused substitute in Nashville's 0-2 win away to Loudoun United.

DERRICK JONES (Nashville SC)

Derrick Jones was named to the bench and came on as a sub in the 82nd minuted, registering his first action since his injury on May 29th. In his fairly limited action, Derrick Jones spent most of his time back defending to close out the game. Hopefully we see more of him on Tuesday against Louisville.
