NASHVILLE, TN - As previously reported by Speedway Soccer, Nashville SC has signed Honduran international Brayan Beckeles to their Major League Soccer roster. Beckeles, 34, has been capped 65 times for the Honduran national team, including starting all three matches in their 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign. Beckeles holds a US Green Card, and will count as a domestic player for MLS roster purposes.

“Brayan has been a standout at the domestic and international levels,” said Nashville SC General Manager Mike Jacobs in the club's press release. “His ability to defend at a high level in Liga MX, as well as throughout CONCACAF representing Honduras, makes him someone who would slot in nicely into our back line.”

Beckeles is capable of playing both as a center back or a right back, both of which are areas of need in Nashville's squad. He's played over 250 matches in Portugal's First Division, Honduras's Liga Nacional and Mexico's Liga MX.
