Power Rankings Week 19

This method of ranking team performance factors in point per game, strength of schedule, and goal difference. This isn't an attempt to predict the final table, but rather a way to measure a team's form.


  1. NYRB II (↑2): Beat Bethlehem and Atlanta, increased their goal differential by nine, and moved within three points of Tampa Bay. A strong week.

  2. Tampa Bay Rowdies (↓1): Drew 1-1 with Pittsburgh to drop out of first place.

  3. Indy Eleven (↓1): After challenging for first place in recent weeks, a shock loss to Hartford moves them to third place.

  4. Pittsburgh Riverhounds (2): A draw with first-placed Tampa Bay continued their strong run of form. They've been arguably the hottest team in the East over the past five weeks or so.

  5. Nashville SC (↔): No match this week.

  6. North Carolina FC (↓2): Drop two spots after a shock 1-0 loss to Birmingham.

  7. Ottawa Fury FC (↔): Held to a 1-1 draw at home by Louisville.

  8. Louisville City FC (↔): Went to Ottawa and came away with a point. After a good run of form, they're looking more like the Louisville of 2018.

  9. Charleston Battery (↔): No match this week (their game against Memphis was postponed due to weather).

  10. Saint Louis FC (↔): Barely hanging onto a top 10 spot after a loss to Charlotte. After looking like the class of the conference to start the season, they look like they're in for a fight to win a playoff spot come October.

  11. Charlotte Independence (↑1): They've been on a quiet hot streak recently, getting a strong 2-1 win over Saint Louis. They're currently in 10th place in the table, and look like they could wind up in the playoffs.

  12. Loudoun United FC (↓1): No match this week.

  13. Bethlehem Steel (↔): Dropped a 3-4 loss at home to a red hot New York side.

  14. Memphis 901 FC (↔): Their match against Charleston was postponed due to weather.

  15. Swope Park Rangers (↔): No match this week.

  16. Birmingham Legion FC (↑1): They move up a spot after taking

  17. Atlanta United 2 (↓1): Smashed 8-1 by New York. Only Hartford have conceded more goals.

  18. Hartford Athletic (↔): After a horrific start to the season, they've managed a few decent results. Their 2-1 win over Indy Eleven was their best result so far this year, and arguably the biggest surprise of the year.


  1. Phoenix Rising FC (↔): Weren't quite as explosive as they've been recently, but got a solid win on the road, beating RGV Toros 1-0.

  2. Fresno FC (↑1): Moved into second with a 2-1 win over New Mexico.

  3. Reno 1868 FC (↓1): No match this week.

  4. Sacramento Republic FC (↑1): Got a win over Portland to move up into 5th.

  5. Real Monarchs SLC (↑2): Beat Tacoma 5-0 to jump up two spots.

  6. Portland Timbers 2 (↓2): Drop two spots after a loss to Sacramento.

  7. El Paso Locomotive FC (↓1): No match this week.

  8. New Mexico United (↔): Their decline continues after a loss to Fresno.

  9. Austin Bold FC (↔): Won 3-2 over Orange County.

  10. Las Vegas Lights FC (↔): No match this week.

  11. OKC Energy (↔): No match this week.

  12. San Antonio FC (↔): No match this week.

  13. Orange County SC (↔): Lost on the road to Austin.

  14. Rio Grande Valley FC (↔): Beaten at home by an in-form Phoenix side.

  15. LA Galaxy II (↔): No match this week.

  16. Tulsa Roughnecks FC (↔): Lost 1-0 to Colorado. The bottom three sides are firmly isolated at the bottom.

  17. CS Switchbacks FC (↔): Got a 1-0 win over Tulsa, but they're so far behind that it would take a lot more to move up the rankings.

  18. Tacoma Defiance (↔): Lost 5-0 to Real Monarchs. They're comfortably the worst team in the league.
