This method of ranking team performance factors in point per game, strength of schedule, and goal difference. This isn't an attempt to predict the final table, but rather a way to measure a team's form over the course of the season.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds (↔): Beat Loudoun on the road midweek, before giving up a late equalizer to Atlanta at home.
Nashville SC (↔): No match this week.

Birmingham Legion FC (↔): Had a huge opportunity to move into a playoff spot, but couldn't take advantage of a 10-man Charleston Battery at home.
Memphis 901 FC (↔): Beaten 3-0 by Indy Eleven on the road. Still alive in the playoff race, but really can't afford to drop any points in their remaining three matches.

Here's how the playoff race is shaping up. Included are three columns: current points, projected points based on home/away ppg, and maximum possible points. The playoff line indicates the required current points needed to have clinched a playoff spot, and the elimination line indicates that a side's maximum points are less than the current points of at least 10 sides.
