Week 14 Power Rankings

This method of ranking team performance factors in point per game, strength of schedule, and goal difference. This isn't an attempt to predict the final table, but rather a way to measure a team's form.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

  1. NYRB II (↑1): Won 3-1 in Atlanta to claim the top spot. They've scored the most goals in the East, and are only three points behind Tampa Bay with a game in hand.

  2. Tampa Bay Rowdies (↓1): Their bid for undefeated season had to end sometime, but it was disappointing to see them beaten so easily, losing 3-1 at home to North Carolina.

  3. Nashville SC (↑1): Went to Philadelphia and beat Bethlehem Steel 4-1. Haven't lost in five league matches.

  4. Indy Eleven (↓1): Got a solid 3-0 win in Memphis to stay in the top four.

  5. North Carolina FC (↔): Got possibly their best result of the season, handing Tampa Bay their first loss of the year on the road.

  6. Ottawa Fury FC (↔): Drew 2-2 in Pittsburgh.

  7. Louisville City FC (↑1): After a slow start to the season, they've quietly moved up the table and our rankings. Beat Loudoun 2-1 at home.

  8. Saint Louis FC (↓1): After a really strong start to the season, they've really dropped off, losing on the road to last-placed Hartford.

  9. Charleston Battery (↔): Won 3-1 at home over Birmingham.

  10. Pittsburgh Riverhounds (↔): Held on for a 2-2 draw at home against Ottawa.

  11. Loudoun United FC (↑1): Came close to getting points in Louisville, losing a hard fought 2-1 match.

  12. Atlanta United 2 (↓1): Dropped points at home against New York.

  13. Birmingham Legion FC (↔): Lost 3-1 at home against Charleston.

  14. Bethlehem Steel (↔): Blew out in the second half to lose 4-1 against Nashville.

  15. Memphis 901 FC (↔): They continue to struggle at home, losing 3-0 to Indy.

  16. Charlotte Independence (↓1): Drew 0-0 against Swope Park.

  17. Swope Park Rangers (↔): Getting close to dropping into last place after a 0-0 draw against Charlotte.

  18. Hartford Athletic (↔): Still in last place, but getting closer to the rest of the league with another good result, this time over a pretty strong Saint Louis side.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

  1. Phoenix Rising FC (↑1): Take over the top spot in the West after a 5-0 destruction of Tulsa.

  2. New Mexico United (↓1): Drew 1-1 with OKC Energy before losing 3-0 at home to Sacramento.

  3. Portland Timbers 2 (↑1): Drew 2-2 in Austin to move back into third.

  4. El Paso Locomotive FC (↑2): They've moved up the rankings in recent weeks, into 4th after a 3-0 win over LA Galaxy II.

  5. Reno 1868 FC (↓2): Lost on the road to San Antonio.

  6. Fresno FC (↓1): Drop a spot after a 1-1 home draw with OKC.

  7. Sacramento Republic FC (↑4): They've been up and down so far this season, but trending up after a strong 3-0 away win over New Mexico.

  8. Orange County SC (↓1): Dropped a spot after a 1-1 draw with Las Vegas. In reality, though, it was a good result. They played down a man for the whole second half and scored a late equalizer.

  9. Austin Bold FC (↔): Drew 2-2 with Portland.

  10. Real Monarchs SLC (↑2): Moving up the rankings with a 5-3 win over RGV Toros.

  11. OKC Energy (↑2): Picked up two good points against New Mexico and Fresno.

  12. Rio Grande Valley FC (↓2): Scored three but gave up five against Real Monarchs.

  13. Tulsa Roughnecks FC (↓5): Thrashed by Phoenix and drop five spots.

  14. San Antonio FC (↑2): They've struggled this season, but god a good 3-2 result over Reno.

  15. Las Vegas Lights FC (↓1): Couldn't get three points at home, despite having a man advantage for 45 minutes.

  16. LA Galaxy II (↓1): Lost on the road to El Paso.

  17. CS Switchbacks FC (↔): Won 3-0 over Tacoma, but were far enough behind LA that it didn't change their ranking.

  18. Tacoma Defiance (↔): After a slight improvement in recent weeks, they reverted back to their norm, losing 3-0 on the road to Colorado.

The above power rankings are a look at current form. These projected tables are simply based on points per game at home and away. These will fluctuate a lot week-to-week.
