Week 15 Power Rankings

This method of ranking team performance factors in point per game, strength of schedule, and goal difference. This isn't an attempt to predict the final table, but rather a way to measure a team's form.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

  1. NYRB II (↔): Got a late winner to take all three points at home against Louisville.

  2. Tampa Bay Rowdies (↔): Held at home to a 1-1 draw by a good Charleston side.

  3. Indy Eleven (↔): Went on the road and beat Loudoun 2-1. They're starting to live up to the preseason hype.

  4. Nashville SC (↔): Came back again to win 3-2 in Hartford in a match that looked better on the pitch than the rankings reflect.

  5. North Carolina FC (↔): Beat Swope Park comfortably at home.

  6. Ottawa Fury FC (↔): Held at home to a 0-0 draw by an upstart Memphis side.

  7. Pittsburgh Riverhounds (↑3): Trounced Atlanta 5-0 on the road. They had only scored 10 in their previous 11 matches.

  8. Louisville City FC (↓1): Unlucky to come out of New York without a point after a good defensive performance.

  9. Charleston Battery (↔): Got a solid 1-1 draw on the road with Tampa Bay.

  10. Saint Louis FC (↓1): The early season stand out continues the free fall after a 3-1 loss on the road to a Bethlehem side who played a man down for over 60 minutes.

  11. Loudoun United FC (↔): Lost a closely fought 2-1 battle against Indy.

  12. Bethlehem Steel (↑2): Got their first win in 8 matches, beating Saint Louis 3-1 despite playing a man down for most of the match.

  13. Charlotte Independence (↑3): Blew Birmingham out 4-1. It's been hard to know what to make of them so far.

  14. Memphis 901 FC (↑1): Went to Ottawa and came away with a well earned point.

  15. Atlanta United 2 (↓3): Shipped five goals at home. Not ideal.

  16. Birmingham Legion FC (↓3): Handily beaten by Charlotte. Their inability to score is killing them.

  17. Swope Park Rangers (↔): Lost 2-0 to a heavily favored North Carolina side.

  18. Hartford Athletic (↔): Beaten again, but put in a fantastic performance against Nashville. They look much better on the pitch than they do on paper, and could begin to climb in the rankings with more home matches on the horizon.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

  1. Phoenix Rising FC (↑1): Cruised to a 3-0 win at home over Orange County. They've pulled ahead to a comfortable lead.

  2. El Paso Locomotive FC (↑2): The first-year side hasn't got nearly as much publicity as New Mexico, but they've quietly put together an impressive debut season. Beat Tulsa 2-0 on the road.

  3. Portland Timbers 2 (↔): Held to a 2-2 draw by a decent Fresno side.

  4. Reno 1868 FC (↑1): Smashed LA Galaxy 4-2 at home.

  5. Fresno FC (↑1): Went to Portland and came away with a point.

  6. New Mexico United (↓4): After an explosive start to the season, they've come back down to earth. Went to Las Vegas as the heavy favorites and were blown out of the water, losing 5-1.

  7. Sacramento Republic FC (↔): No game this week.

  8. Las Vegas Lights FC (↑7): Jump up seven spots after thrashing New Mexico 5-1. Haven't lost at home, and haven't won on the road.

  9. Rio Grande Valley FC (↑3): Won 3-0 at home against a poor Colorado side.

  10. Orange County SC (↓2): Lost on the road to Phoenix.

  11. Real Monarchs SLC (↓1): No game this week.

  12. Austin Bold FC (↓3): Drew at home to a 10 man Tacoma side.

  17. CS Switchbacks FC (↔): Lost 3-0 to RGV Toros.

  18. Tacoma Defiance (↔): Went to Austin and held on for a solid 1-1 draw.
