Week 17 Power Rankings

This method of ranking team performance factors in point per game, strength of schedule, and goal difference. This isn't an attempt to predict the final table, but rather a way to measure a team's form.

  1. Tampa Bay Rowdies (↔): Won at home against an Ottawa side that's been in good form.

  2. Indy Eleven (↑1): Pushing Tampa Bay for the top spot with a 3-0 win over Birmingham and a 1-1 draw with Louisville City.

  3. NYRB II (↓1): Drew 1-1 with a 10 man Charleston side. Their midweek match against Nashville was abandoned while they were trailing 2-1 at the half.

  4. North Carolina FC (↑1): Got a good 1-0 win at home over Nashville.

  5. Nashville SC (↓1): Were up 2-1 over New York when the Wednesday night match was abandoned. Went on the road to North Carolina and lost 1-0 to drop into 5th.

  6. Pittsburgh Riverhounds (↔): Beat Birmingham 4-1 at home. They've scored 12 goals in their last three matches and are one of the hottest sides in the league.

  7. Ottawa Fury FC (↔): Beat Charleston 3-2 midweek before losing at Tampa Bay.

  8. Louisville City FC (↔): Got a decent 1-1 draw with Indy Eleven to stay in 8th.

  9. Charleston Battery (↔): Lost to Ottawa and drew with New York for a somewhat disappointing week.

  10. Saint Louis FC (↔): Their free fall continues, losing 2-1 to Swope Park. They're in danger of slipping out of a playoff spot.

  11. Loudoun United FC (↔): Won 2-1 over Atlanta. They could start to sneak up the table with a home-heavy second half of their season.

  12. Bethlehem Steel (↔): Beat Hartford 3-0 on the road, not necessarily an easy feat.

  13. Charlotte Independence (↔): Beat Memphis 1-0 in a somewhat predictable result.

  14. Memphis 901 FC (↔): Lost to Charlotte without scoring a goal. Their 12 goals scored is last in either conference, and is killing their chances to be a competitive side.

  15. Swope Park Rangers (↑1): Got a surprising 2-1 win over Saint Louis to move up a spot.

  16. Atlanta United 2 (↓1): Lost to a fairly decent Loudoun side.

  17. Birmingham Legion FC (↔): Lost to Birmingham and Indy to challenge Hartford for the last spot in the East.

  18. Hartford Athletic (↔): After some better performances, they've regressed back to their average, losing to Bethlehem 3-0 at home.

  1. Phoenix Rising FC (↔): All alone at the top of the West, winning 4-2 over Portland.

  2. Fresno FC (↑2): Moved up two spots with a 3-0 win over El Paso.

  8. New Mexico United (↓1): No match this week.

  9. Real Monarchs SLC (↔): Got a good 3-1 in Tulsa to hang onto 9th place.

  10. Las Vegas Lights FC (↓2): Drop two spots after losing at home to OKC Energy.

  11. Rio Grande Valley FC (↔): No match this week.

  12. OKC Energy (1): Got a 1-0 win against a Las Vegas side that has struggled at home.

  13. Orange County SC (↔): Lost at home to Los Dos.

  14. San Antonio FC (↔): Hung on for a 0-0 draw at home against El Paso, despite going down a man with 30 minutes left.

  15. LA Galaxy II (↔): Beat Orange County 2-1 on the road.

  16. Tulsa Roughnecks FC (↔): Lost 3-1 to Real Monarchs.

  17. CS Switchbacks FC (↔): Beaten 5-0 by Austin, widening the gap between them and Tulsa.
